Bio
Coach Dustin White is in his 3rd season as the Head Mens Basketball Coach at Southwestern Christian Community College.
With over 20 years of coaching experience, 17 as a head coach. White brings a wealth of knowledge and passion
Prior to his time at Johnson, White was the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Pflugerville Hendrickson High School (6A/5A). White led the Boys Basketball Program to 5 consecutive play-off appearances, 3 district titles, and the ‘21 regional semifinals.
Other head coaching stops on the Coach White career path are: Georgetown East View
( ‘11-’15), Uvalde (‘08-’11), and Bloomington High Schools (‘07) respectively. In his time as a head coach, Coach White’s teams have made the postseason 11 times and he has been named district coach of the year 3 times.
As an assistant coach, Coach White was on the staffs of Midway High School (varsity asst.), Texas A&M-Kingsville (graduate asst.), Texas State (student asst.), Van High School (volunteer asst.)
Coaching runs in the White Family. Dustin’s siblings Jake (Sam Houston State/Men’s Basketball) and Jordan Thomas are both in the coaching profession.
A native of Longview, TX, Coach White is the proud dad of son Major (13) and son of Bonny and Vonda White.
